WordPress 4.8 is finally here and i’m excited. We got allot of new widgets!
Audio, video, image and text widgets!
These widgets now allow you to easily add audio, video and images from your media. Also there is the text which now has a visual editor in it. This is great as developer because we don’t need to add such features into themes or install plugins. By making wordpress not require such plugins or code, it makes it lighter and more reliable for everyone.
They also added feature to put your location in admin panel so that wordpress can alert you in the admin panel of wordpress events in your area.
You can get the new 4.8 version of wordpress at wordpress.org/download.
My personal experience is to wait for version 4.8.1 as it gives plugin developers and wordpress core developers time to remove the bugs.
